Cheryl is a registered physiotherapist who received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 1993, having been introduced to the profession following a serious knee injury and subsequent surgeries in highschool. She started her career at Carleton University’s Sports Therapy Clinic prior to opening Cooper Physio Clinic in October 1996. Cheryl is proud to be able to treat the rural residents of her home community and enjoys a special interest in Sports Medicine and total joint rehab. Her continuing education has included all orthopaedic short courses, kinesiotaping, vestibular rehabilitation and Mulligan techniques. She is proud to have shared her 30+ years of clinical experience as a clinical educator for countless Canadian and International physiotherapy students and co-operative education students over her career. In 2023, Cheryl received a total knee replacement and has used that experience to help guide her care of total joint patients
A sixth generation native of Metcalfe, Cheryl lives with her husband Hugh McEwen, grown children Kate and Stuart and a menagerie of pets on Heather Crest Dairy Farm. A busy Mom, she also continues to play hockey and is a singer/musician performing at various local events. Cheryl has proudly coached both competitive fastball and hockey in the community for over 40 years and uses her knowledge of sport to augment her physiotherapy care. Her volunteer work in the community includes Past President of Metcalfe District Hockey Association and current President of Metcalfe Agricultural Society.

Lianne loves being a physiotherapist and first joined us as a physiotherapy student. A graduate of the University of Manitoba, Lianne thrills in continuing her education and learning new skills. She has completed many post-graduate physiotherapy courses, a Masters in Health Administration from the University of Ottawa in 2017, and various other interest courses such as digital music. Lianne enjoys many physical activities such as ringette, gym and dance. She is always up for a new challenge and was recently heavily involved in the organizing committee for the National Ringette Championships in Ottawa. Lianne works in our Greely Clinic location, provides geriatric care to the residents of the Osgoode Care Centre and also provides Home Visits.

Kristin is a registered physiotherapist who graduated from the University of Toronto Masters of Physical Therapy program in 2013, following completion of her Bachelors degree in Honours Kinesiology from McGill University. From a young age, she has been involved in competitive sports which sparked her interest in physical therapy as a career.
Since graduating, Kristin has completed various professional development courses including; Levels 1, 2 and 3 Upper and Lower Quadrant Manual Therapy Courses, Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of the Lumbar Spine with the Robin McKenzie Institute of Canada, Acupuncture and Vestibular Rehabilitation. Most recently, Kristin has completed the Dry Needling Level 1 course with Acupuncture Canada and she looks forward to using this technique as an effective adjunct in the holistic treatment of her clients. She has a passion for injury management and prevention through the combination of manual therapy techniques and exercise rehabilitation to assist with timely return to work, sport and extra-curricular activities.

Originally, he was drawn to the profession of Massage Therapy because he enjoyed biology and wanted to work in the healthcare field. The main thing he enjoys about the profession is helping people to experience stress and pain relief along with achieving a higher level of wellness. Teri is a registered physiotherapist who received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario in 1993. She grew up in the small south-western Ontario town of Ayr. She has a diverse Physio background which includes hand therapy, acupuncture, and vertigo rehab. Teri also serves as a clinical educator for physiotherapy students, sharing her wealth of clinical knowledge. Away from the clinic, Teri enjoys camping and the outdoors and manages a busy household which includes husband Kevin, grown children Emily and Kerrigan and chocolate lab Sully. Jessica van Koppen is a Physiotherapist who graduated from Queen’s University and previously completed a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Ottawa in Health Sciences, specializing in population and public health with a microprogram in aging studies.
Growing up in the Metcalfe area, she is excited to give back to the community by helping individuals regain mobility, improve their quality of life, and enhance their physical performance. Outside of physiotherapy, she enjoys all things outdoors, has a love for animals, and finds relaxation in a good book. You might also find her at the arena coaching or playing ringette.
Jessica played competitive ringette (for Metcalfe Hornets, Nepean Ravens, and the University of Ottawa) and has coached with the national ringette school during summers and recently returned to coaching a local Metcalfe Hornets team. She continues to run to train for half marathons.
Her treatment approach combines manual therapy and exercise in an evidence-based manner. Jessica is also rostered in dry needling after completing the level 1 course with Evidence in Motion, further enhancing her treatment approach.
